Here at Got Your Six UK, we have a variety of ways to become involved with our organisation.
Roles with Got Your Six UK are flexible and can be tailored to your availability and capabilities. We understand everyone has different needs, and we want to support that as much as possible.
Peer Support Mentors provide informal buddy-to-buddy support for those experiencing difficult times, the opportunity to meet for a brew, and chat to someone who 'gets it'. Clients and Mentors are paired based on similar experiences where possible, and Mentors expertise. Training in Mental Health First Aid and Suicide Prevention can be provided to boost your confidence in working with potentially vulnerable people.
Other roles include some general admin based tasks, meet and greet, providing refreshments, running a group such as a book club, or art group, or something more substantial if you're after a challenge.
Then, there's our communal garden! That requires love all year round, and if you fancy yourself as a bit of a green fingered whizz then that's the role for you!
